Meet Jon Boerger
In 2001, Jon was working at a bank as a commercial teller. It was when his daughter, Elizabeth, was born that he realized the time and many challenges associated with moving up the "corporate ladder". During that time, Jon was also working for his uncles building homes and was exposed to every type of labor involved in the construction process.
Jon realized the great opportunity in the painting business when his parents were selling their beautiful, spacious home in St. Joe and two of the three offers came from painting contractors. So, he approached a local paint store asking what he needed to get started as a paint contractor and the store told him, "find a better dream kid".
Overcoming his first obstacle, Jon sat down at his parent's coffee table and mapped out a plan. After gathering all of the supplies, he placed his first ad in the St. Cloud Times "At Your Service" Directory and booked his first job for $300.00.
He never looked back.
Meet Lynn Boerger
In 2006, Jon met Lynn. It didn't take long for the power duo to take advantage of their opportunity to join forces and start building the Colorful Concepts empire together.
Lynn, a graduate from the college of St. Benedict, started working with Colorful Concepts maintaining the company's books. She became an owner in 2009 and president in 2013.
Over the course of the past 10 years, operating from Jon's kitchen table, to a shed in Opal, their home in St. Cloud, their first office space in St. Joe, and now to their newly renovated office in Sartell, Colorful Concepts Painting has been helping build communities and families throughout the United States.
To date, Lynn and Jon are involved with: CMBA (Central Minnesota Builders Association), PCA (Painting Contractors Association), ILBA (International Log Builders Association), The Make a Wish Foundation, Next-Monday's EPG, Sartell Youth Hockey, and Sponsoring a Wide Range of Sports Teams and Events (from hockey to bowling).
